‘Simone playfully searches for ways to quiet the mind, silently recording the passing of time.
In Crossing the Lake she walks back and forth across a huge frozen lake covered with snow, leaving a matrix of footprints until the surface is evenly covered by a 15-hour imprint of time itself, attuned to the artist’s own pace.”
